Sham 69 is an English punk band formed in 1976, although later Skinhead considered them an Oi! band. However, on their official website they define themselves as a group from the First Wave of Punk.

The Commentators NN-Nineteen Not Out (1985 UK 7″ vinyl single) – Rory Bremner parody of Paul Hardcastle’s number one hit “19”, with Bremner imitating cricket commentators. Fun 80s proto-rap mix widely used in advertising, soundtracks and as a basis for break dancing, etc. B-side: “Second innings”

Single with “Hong Kong Garden” by Siouxie Sioux with her band The Banshees, a post punk new wave anthem that is unmatched today, together with Bow Wow Wow these two bands of female voices universalized New Wave. Hey, elastic! (not to be confused with Elastica from the 90s) were an Edinburgh-based band where it seemed like having dyed red hair was part of the style. It was nerdy new wave pop in that post-punk pumuki style of clothing somewhere between spandau ballet and thunderdome, if you know what I mean.

Beautiful single of the song Maria performed by Natalie Wood and Richard Beymer, with its folder and photo, is a delight for film and soundtrack collectors.
