Hey, elastic! (not to be confused with Elastica from the 90s) were an Edinburgh-based band where it seemed like having dyed red hair was part of the style. It was nerdy new wave pop in that post-punk pumuki style of clothing somewhere between spandau ballet and thunderdome, if you know what I mean.
