Synopsis: Set in a large city of the future, “Metropolis” tells the story of a society where humans and robots coexist, although with marked social inequalities. Japanese private detective Shunsaku Ban and his nephew Kenichi arrive in the city of Metropolis in search of Dr. Laughton, suspected of trading in human organs. They are unaware that Duke Red, the most influential citizen of the city, has hired Dr. Laughton to create an extremely intelligent robot in the image of his deceased daughter, Tima. The story becomes complicated when Rock, Duke Red's adopted son, discovers Dr. Laughton's intentions and decides to intervene.
