Hey, elastic! (not to be confused with Elastica from the 90s) were an Edinburgh-based band where it seemed like having dyed red hair was part of the style. It was nerdy new wave pop in that post-punk pumuki style of clothing somewhere between spandau ballet and thunderdome, if you know what I mean.

Hey, elastic! (no confundir con un grupo de nombre muy similar que tuvo cierto éxito en la tabla a mediados de los 90) eran un grupo con sede en Edimburgo donde parecía que tener el pelo rojo grande era parte del estilo.
En octubre de 1982 se lanzó su primer sencillo “Eat Your Heart Out”. Smash Hits parecía estar bastante impresionado por esto, y presumió que una aparición en Top Of The Pops no estaría demasiado lejos (aunque ahora sin que esto no fuera así).
